Today I brought in my 3 year old spayed female basset hound in to get a dental cleaning. I got a text message at 11:55 saying that my dog was out of surgery and everything went well and there were no complications. Once home I decide to look at her teeth and from what I can see it looks like some major spots still needed to be cleaned and we're totally missed. I emailed the vet pictures and got a phone call back. The doctor said what I was looking at was an "lesion/animal defect" or whatever that means. They said it's not plaque or tartar. Just kept calling it a "lesion/animal defect." Is my vet lying to me? Does anyone know anything about canine dental lesions????
