Was on a trip to SoCal from NorCal. Plugged my 2026 iX45 to EVGo charger on my way back from. Started charging okay but charging suddenly stopped with an error drivetrain malfunction and unable to charge car. Reset/walking away for a while did not help. Roadside towed the car to a nearby BMW dealership. Being Memorial Day, service center was closed but was able to drop off the car.

Had to rent a car to drive back to Bay Area (have work plus kids school). Waiting for a call back from the dealership on what’s wrong and time to fix.

Would BMW cover rental costs and/or transport my car to me? Can I request for a loaner from my local dealer?
