2015 SXT transmission temperature sensor not showing anything on gauge cluster.
Hi guys I have a 2015 base model SXT that I want buy but when I looked and test drove the car (cold to operating temp) the transmission temperature would not show on the gauge cluster at all as would read basically low all the time without going up. Car drove great. But I’m wondering if this is a common issue, hopefully it doesn’t need another TCM because if so it ain’t worth it. It already has a bad driveshaft centre bearing (which isn’t too bad to replace). But it got me thinking if the temperature sensor isn’t showing would that be cause for any other underlying issues.
Now the dealership itself is (from what I see) pretty reputable, it’s not a buy here pay here crummy lot. Any info on anything would be appreciated.
Vehicle has 125k miles, base model, 5” screen, clean no rust at all
lower control arms, sway bar links, struts / shocks, front wheel bearings also just been replaced.
