PPA sucks
I am currently suggling with my 2 week old baby, trying to convince myself that he is indeed not getting horribly sick. I was induced at 37+5 due to pregnancy induced hypertension. After that it has just been one thing after another. I had an allergic reaction to the post birth bloodpressure medication and had to be readmitted. Baby has had some health issues too but nothing that needed immediate attention; some weight loss that required monitoring, jaundice that was evaluated by a pediatrician but was not worrying, a tongue tie that made breastfeeding impossible until its resolved and to top it all off, he has trouble keeping cool which causes him to have high temperatures that are just shy of fevers and also requires a lot of monitoring. He was seen by a pediatrician for that too and he was deemed completely healthy but to keep an eye on it.
Meanwhile my almost 3 year old has been going through an adjustment period to having a baby brother (understandable).
I just feel like I won't be able to breathe until he's bigger. I just hope it goes away sooner than later. I struggle with health anxiety at the best of times but post partum takes the cake. It's exhausting.
