Why I decided to become a furry. (posting this here bc apparently i dont have enough karma for anything)

so uhhh, about a week ago I decided to become a furry. Why, you ask? (im aware you didnt)

A few months ago my brother started conceptualizing a 3D printed stop motion animated series, based off the Lucky/Dummy 13 figures by soozafone. He came to me one day and asked if I would help him . It was going to be goofy, with characters from (somewhat) popular media appearing occasionally as a joke. Then, one day, my brother had a strange suggestion. He thought we should add a furry character.

Now, my interactions with furries have been kind of mixed over the years. I had a lot of friends who basically molded me to hate them, but I discovered that furries are pretty chill and cool people. A good friend of mine was a furry, actually, and if it weren't for him, I probably wouldn't have the motivation to get started on an indie series i plan to make.
Now, when he asked this, I said sure. Little did I know that this would literally change the entire framework of the series.

The furry was originally going to be a joke character, but became so much more than we anticipated. And, actually, it was because of me. I gave her a name (Brittney) and actually made design concepts. And as my infuence over the series grew, the concepts explored in the series became more serious, until we eventually decided that it wouldn't be so much of a joke anymore, and try to get it animated.

And, ironically, Brittney became the main character. Because of me.

She is a very interesting character concept for me. She used to be human, and grew up with her dad, who lost everything in his divorce but her. When she was in college, she got into an argument with him, and drove away. She got into a car crash. She was unharmed, but the company her father used to work for, and almost ruined, took her, and did the necessary genetic modifications to turn her into something else. Basically she's just a human dog, and looks like a furry.

And I came up with all of this. I developed her personality, and became so invested in her character that I could basically embody her spirit, which is much different than mine. (btw if it did get produced i would voice her if i weren't a dude) The whole "spirit" thing is normal for me, but I hadn't been so invested in a character since I started coming up with a Murder Drones OC (yes embarassing i know.) Unfortunately, I can't draw, though I would love to flesh out her designs because she's badass.

After some time of family drama that left me a wreck, I ended up watching some YouTube for like the first time in months. First, I watched Gameoverse. I'm a regular viewer of Glitch series (SMG4 viewer since 2015) and for some reason I found myself invested in Kit's design. I realized how expressive these kinds of characters could be, and I got interested. A while after, I watched a video by a guy called Chez (look him up he's cool.) One of his friends is a furry.

I don't know why, but after watching that video, I had a strong urge to become a furry. I was convinced that it was sleep deprivation talking, so I got some sleep. But I still couldn't stop thinking about it.

After a while of thinking about it, I decided it wouldn't be so bad. I have heard good things about the furry community, and thought it could be a nice change of pace. I have been on and off of the Murder Drones, TADC communities, and the Undertale community at its worst, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to try it out. And now here I am. ._.

edit: now that i've watched MMA i can confidently say that it is now one of my inspirations for aforementioned project.

absolutely FLOORED

A YouTuber I like did a reaction video on Mau Makan Apa, so I did the natural thing and watched the original first.
I will give this peak an 8.5/10, high marks from me.

Then I read the comics.

8.5/10.

Absolute fucking cinema.

Sucks this won't be continued (probably), cause MAN this is good.
