Zwave i4 AC for Septic Monitoring
I want to try to track and detect problems with my septic system in Home Assistant. This is the septic control box. The main thing I want to do is get a notification if the “alarm” triggers.
Can someone correct me if anything I’m describing in my plan sounds like it won’t work?
Everything in the box is testing at 120v, the contact labeled alarm is energized at 120v when the alarm is NOT triggered, it de-energizes when the alarm goes off and the light on the top turns on. Me
Since the i4 can monitor multiple things, my hope is to:
* Hook line and neutral to permanent incoming power.
* Connect the switch inputs to the hot side of:
* Alarm (to tell me when the alarm is triggered)
* Pump (to tell when the pump is running
* Low Level Warning (I’m not even sure what a septic low level is but shrug?)
Will this work? I’ve used i4s before but only the DC versions of them. Are the AC versions capable of receiving and reading the status of 120v circuits?
