I went into Ch 10/11 blind, straight into a no death maddening/classic attempt. Here’s how I did chapter 11!
My first ever maddening attempt for a FE run, veterans please rate my run and give me criticism if needed!
Clutch Best Characters:
- Yanaka Thief (Evasion Tank sorta)
I’ve read comments in other posts that she works really well in hard or lower. But on maddening she either dies quickly or enemies avoid her totally. Still she is able to stall abit of the advancing force and stay alive which to me is clutch since she did it solo with 1 health potion.
Iron dagger + 2, with enhance for max avoid.
She distracts enemies for a little while until the hounds and lizards, then I move her to the side corners of the map to keep her alive. By this time I have #2 ready..
- triple staff users for freeze/obstruct
Second part to my stall army is to use the freeze we got in chapter 10. I rotate this staff amongst 3 users - I chose Framme Bishop/Jean and the “staff” unit we get in this match (no spoilers)
Freeze locks down the Sigurd and flying hound to stall for one turn. Because it’s like 70% hit rate, I have 3 users just in case. I use the units not doing much to ferry the staff between them, trade and move and trade. You can trade and then use staff too.
Obstruct is great at choke points between trees and plains where your evasion tanks sit to stall the smaller minions. Only used Jean for this but it was critical.
- Duo DPS lineup
A) Chloe Griffin Knight Lance/Staff with Canter (move after hitting)
My first flanker to pick off the peripheral mobs or lone mobs. I make sure to leave her with max one aggro after canter which she usually survives as long as it’s not arrows or enhanced minion/hound
B) Lapis Wyvern Knight (Sword/axe) with canter
Chloe and lapis forms my double flank. I use the STR +2 items for lapis to beef up her dmg, she doesn’t really one shot but is able to chip the side mobs down decently. I actively use the well and got books to force learn canter early on and also a silver axe and silver sword which helps alot for lapis.
- Alear unascended running south without stopping too much. Flankers picking off side units and drawing aggro.
The rest of my units were Jade (not really important for my composition), Dalmont (sp*) was more important in chapter 10 for damage, Celine who is there for more magic chip damage, maybe one more I forgot.
Didn’t really have a problem with freeze enemies or warping since my double flank can pick off most mobs together.
Hope this tips helped and feel free to share your comp too!
