So as the title suggests im a bit stuck, in the Albaneve Heights. My character is lvl 37 2h melee build. My biggest issue is I cant seem to find higher level gear. My armor is the top tier blacksmith can forge @ lvl 33 but is only rare and even though ive found and marked a ton of silver/gold chest i n the biome, no matter how many times I farm them I just get ranger/mage gear. Its the only stuff that drops. I would love the radiant paladin set and a solid 2h melee weapon. But I can never get any of it to drop. Im stuck trying to slay the dragon and I cant even get half way because my damage is so poor Knocking him down I might.. MIGHT get about 1/10th of his hp bar down.

Is he really supposed to be that difficult? And why the heck do chests so heavily favor ranged/magic classes. Stun arrows also aren't exactly cheap to make when you look at all the resources that go into them. At this point ill have days on this game just farming rss to make more stun arrows.

I absolutely love this game. I played the original back when it came out and was so excited when this sequel was announced. 40k is by far my favorite universe.

Due to life and work I only found time to finally get the game a couple months ago but ive played quite regularly since then. I have right at 250hrs and just finished maxing all the classes and felt ready to start taking on absolute/hard strats maybe 20 hrs before I finished. Now alot of people may say 250hrs is alot to only just get into absolute. But this is my first go at a game with the parry/dodge mechanics like they are, I never played games like Dark souls, so i spent alot of time getting used to it, learning specific attack patterns and "git gud" before I subjected brothers to carrying me through absolute after attempting a hard strat early on and realizing that I was infinitely out of my league at the time.

For the most part, I love the brothers in randoms, most are very polite and share what scarce resources are available. Its definitely true you will run into characters who really kill the mood but its usually back to normal on the next run. Ive noticed alot of hate here on low level players in absolute and hard strats. I feel your pain, I do. Most of the time low levels will just drag a hard strat down the drain, But ive seen P0L23 players carry a hard strat just by surviving and supporting the team while we pumped the damage and P4L25 players just drag us all down by constantly dying and consuming resources.. Though most often its the random spawns and their unfortunate location that kills a run. Having a neuro or a helbrute with 4-5 extremis plus all the extras spawn in tight quarters with nowhere to retrograde dooms a party more often than 1 weaker player.. ive played hard strats with good players and fail, just to rerun with 1 weak player and succeed because the terminus spawned in a more open location. Theres been times ive helped carry a mission, and times ive had to be carried. Thats just part of the game and the challenge it provides run after run.

What irritates me infinitely more is loading into a run just to be insta kicked because a 2 player party couldn't be bothered to switch to private, or because my chapter doesnt match theirs. If you want everyone's chapter to match just frickin ask. Or play private with your chapter brothers. Dont waste people's time. Also, players who think they need to steal every single execution, (its almost always vanguard) just to get mad when you finally take one of your own to restore some armor/chp. You are not entitled to every execution. I got kicked once for legit taking a single execution, after he stole several from me. which I solo earned, just because the vanguard was mid HP and wanted the 5% hp back, while I was 0 armor and was trying to get back a decent chunk of chp.

It costs 0 dollars to be a decent brother and understand we are all here to have fun purging the Zenos, the heretic and the mutant in the name of the Emperor. I understand wanting to RP, its alot of fun, but if youre so deep you cant fathom fighting along side cousins of another chapter then just go private. It takes 2 seconds to switch that button, rather than wasting several minutes of a cousins time who just came to help you.

Also, does anyone have a discord they recommend for a good group of people to run with? Not looking for anything too heavy into RP or chapter specific. Just would like to find a group to play with
