Back with bigger size after the reality check!

Back with bigger size after the reality check!

Hello again, it's me after I got a reality check in this post after years of destroying my feet and paying money to fix Birks yearly...

I knew I wasn't crazy, but was too afraid to ask, and today I'm getting new shoes for summer!

My old Birkenstocks are 39, but people told me I should size up with to a 40 or even 41.

I went to the store today and found a big sale that I am very much planning on using on Tuesday!

Can you all help me with this subs ✨ magic ✨ in choosing the right size?

I added the sizes per photo, and made sure the first blacks ones are the same model to figure it out!

Thank you all 🫶

Reality check?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been a lurker in this sub for some time now and I learned so much from everyone… especially about my sizing!

I’ve had my Sienna and Madrid for 5 summers already.

Disclaimer: the store clerk advised on the sizing 🥲

Reading in this sub, I think I got the wrong size…

My birkies are 39, but I think I should go for a 40?

My main complain is that my heels always hurt 🥲

The front and back of the sole are destroyed and they got to the cork. I’ve fixed them in the past, but now they are asking for 75€ and 85€ to fix them. 160€ seems excessive considering that my heels are in pain.

I am a big sustainability girl and prefer to repair and fix rather than buy new, but given the wrong size and how much repairs cost, I’d rather just buy a new pair for that price….

Reality checks:

* I should give up on them, right?

* And I should size up?

* Or is the pope Catholic?

Please hold my hand while you’re giving me the reality 🤣
