XDR help / Questions

Good day,

Requesting assistance assembling my cassette. Trying to slap this on a XS State Titanium. This is my first build but I've worked on my other bikes a bit with some experienced help.

I cant seem to tighten the cassette onto the hub. It just spins freely. I believe I need to use the spacer. Is there any plastic parts I need to take off the cassette to get it to fit?

Secondly, should I take the fork off to run some foam cable silencer stuff through the frame? Is there an ideal sequence of events to assemble this? I have a go by I got from Chat-GPT.

Thank you very much for your help. Stoked to learn how to build this thing but damn if it doesn't tax my patience lol.

TLDR: Pumped for this build. Any Advice? This is so expensive!

This is all over the place.

Questions:

  1. ASC-1 Anti-Seize Compound for BB threads? Bottle Cages bolts?

  2. Marine greese or SAC 2 or PPL (where) only on Carbon bars?

  3. Im probably going to make mistakes, I just want to get her riding and worry about perfection later.

1st build! Super stoked. Just waiting on some, all the bike tools, grease, sealant, airshot, sram brake tools, bleed kit, and my bike stand to arrive in the mail before I can put it all together. Started purchasing parts in Jan, slowly combing over the details. I have a few questions to make sure I do anything that would cost more money. I had the LBS install the Cane Creek 110 headset and cut the fork after I measured it. I was messing around today and slapped what I could together because im excited. I want to do it myself so I learn and for the pride of building it up myself.

I have stripped and re-assembled the 6061 with some help, bought all the tools. Made some mistakes. I have been pining for the TI version since they released it. I intend on swapping gravel kings SS 38s on the 6061 and using that for intervals and dragging the kid around in and family bike rides. I also have a Trek Roscoe 9 to cover down on anything gnarly. The TI will be fitted with OMM racks and bags eventually to do some overnight trips once my bank account recovers. The wife has a 6061 but I bought her the sram Axs groupset because the stock sensa groupset and brakes are unsafe IMO and need to install that. The kiddo has a littlebigbike in the mail as well. I may or may not be forcing my hobby on my family. We've ripped a few 10 mile rides so its all good.

I want to do big 100 mile days on this TI State bike, gravel rips, blue single track... etc. I splurged on premium stuff to try and make it bomb proof so I can treat it like a MTB if I want and underbike trails while I teach the kid and wife to shred. Even with this dream build.. I still want a salsa cutthroat... ugh.

Here's the build. Ill post another one I get it all together and ride a few 100 miles on it.
