How to unbork my SSD system drive?
I recently built a steam machine out of spare parts I had hanging around, HP IPM87-MP, 4790 CPU, RX580 GPU, CachyOS. I cannibalized a laptop for it's wifi card, antenna and hard drive. Yes the HD sucked, but that's what I had on hand.
Thanks to Craigslist, found a 240gb SSD for $20. Wanted to try Bazzite, so installed that on the new drive... With secure boot.
The IPM-87mp does have a secure boot option and I read somewhere that Linux was ok with that.
Upon reboot after install, the BIOS seem to hang and the uefi key must've not installed.
Now, the BIOS doesn't see the drive on startup. I've tried windows pe, cachy and baxzzite isos in the hopes that one of them will see the drive and allow me to reformat and start over to no avail. Gparted didn't see it either.
I came closest to giving it by plugging it into my gaming rig. File manager didn't see it, but diskmanager did. As soon as I cleaned it, it disappeared and no way to format it.
Not sure what to do at this point.
