This may be a stupid question but if I have over processed hair and its been about 9 weeks since I last had a relaxer should I get a retouch relaxer at my next appointment or just get a wash/conditioner with a big chop to get rid of the damaged hair?

I’ve been dealing with damage and want to get a haircut on the damaged ends. Its been About 9 weeks since my last relaxer, so I was wondering if I should still get a retouch relaxer even with a big chop or should i just schedule an appointment for a wash, deep conditioning and haircut?
