FUCK STEALTHFIN TROUTS. I've been circling Lake Saria for several days now for the Stealth Armour upgrade and these damn fish will not spawn, maybe 1-2 Hyrule Bass if I'm lucky but nothing else. I tried all the methods people suggested, shock emitter in the water, restarting the console, leaving the lake and come back in a bit, come back after a blood moon, set the Sensor+ to detect them, still no fish after days of trying.

At some point I realized that some Amiibos have the chance of giving you Stealthfin Trout when scanned:

• Mipha
• Toon Link
• Young Link
• Link (The Wind Waker)
• Sidon
• + a couple other versions of Link but I've confirmed that these work

Each time one of these are scanned 8 fish drop, there's a 5% chance of getting a Stealthfin Trout so if my math is right thats a 33.7% chance you'll get at least one Stealthfin with each scan.

In theory you could scan multiple amiibos to farm enough Stealthfins, however the game only lets you scan the same amiibo once a day. There's no limit on scanning different amiibos of the same character though (like if you bought two of the same Toon Links you could scan each one, this works because they each have a different UID)

I found this AmiiboConverter script which lets you create amiibos files with different UIDs, I ran this command to make 100 different Mipha amiibos:

amiibo-converter -m bin2nfc -i "Mipha.bin" -o mipha_output/ -r -d 100 -v

The -r option tells the script to generate a random UID for each one and -d tells the script how many different copies to make, in this case 100. I'm using a Flipper Zero so I am using the -m bin2nfc option, the script is pretty flexible to output in diff formats if you're using an app or something else. I won't go into detail on where to get the amiibo .bin or retail-keys.bin that are needed for the script, those can easily be found in a simple google search.

I loaded the 100 Mipha amiibos on my Flipper Zero and got scanning, it took me around 15 min to scan 45-50 amiibos which yielded 18 Stealthfins.
