Characters missing in "Lore" section for each Heroes.

Characters missing in "Lore" section for each Heroes.

With the addition of the “Lore“ section, many heroes either don't have all the characters who are affiliated with them when they don't simply have any characters.

Raphaël Weyland, lead writer, had said during the last Warrior's Den that more is coming for Y10S4. Even if he didn't precise what it is - my dream would be a lore section in the main menu which giving access to all the orders, community and loadings texts containing lore since the beginning of the game -, it could totally be more characters being described in the "Lore" section of each hero.

With this in head, I would like to propose to you a list of all the characters, even the most minor ones, that haven't be described in the "Lore" section, listed by Heroes and in order of apparition.

Some of them come from the Rites of Champion event's unique order of Year 1 (you can consult it here: https://forhonor.fandom.com/wiki/Rite_of_Champions ), others from Event Lore: Tales of Rebellion 3 ( https://www.reddit.com/r/lorehonor/comments/l5wyu5/event_lore_tales_of_rebellion_3/ ) and Event Lore: The Battle of the Eclipse ( https://www.reddit.com/r/lorehonor/comments/lmebp5/event_lore_the_battle_of_the_eclipse/ ) from u/LordAqua33. Almost each used sources will be mentioned by its link.

Note 1: I found pity that a big part if not all these characters (excepted the Arakure ones of course) wasn't mentioned in the first season of the current year. That would be so cool to see new names (old like recent) and not only the same Gudmundr, Tozen and Apollyon.

Note 2: I've certainly forgotten some characters, don't hesitate to indicated it to me if it's the case!

Note 3: Sorry if the post and sources aren't well written...

Y9S2 is one of the worst season lorewise.

Before beginning, I don’t want to be too harsh or insulting the current writers (Raphaël Weyland, Ian Cardona and Benjamin Puelo). We don’t know how they work, if they are limited in time to write the entire year story, and it is easy for us, player, to criticize they work while we are not at their places.

But.

They are signs that show they don’t take the time to write something good. Their are imaginative, have a lot of ideas and are passionate, ok. But the season’s lore started in the worst way possible when Ian Cardona said in the Warrior’s Den: « Do you remember Ayu from the campaign? She is dead. Yeah, we have to move forward from this situation. ». Move forward of what? The last time Ayu was mentioned was in on the Gryphon’s backstory during Y4S4 (now available on the Wayback Machine of the Internet Archive) and until now we don’t know how she (like the other factions) reacts to Horkos and Chimera rise, Horkos domination over Heathmoor and Guljin’s conquest. These events possess a lot of possibilities to create a great lore: how the factions react to the Order of Horkos attack during the Honor Games? Why and how many warriors decide to rejoin either Horkos or Chimera and how are they considered by their factions? How all these group adapted themselves to the climatic catastrophes of Y5 (drought, tempest, ice) and what are the consequences of these blights on the population and on the war? What is the impact of the discover of the Relics? What was the answer of the factions toward Mongols-Wu Lin alliance? Did they try to resist, using for this the environment of their territories at their advantage and technology seeing in the campaign (grapple, rocket-like signal…)?… of course some of these thematics and questions have been answered (totally or partially) but they could be expanded like this for making a deeper lore. In the case of Mongols invasion, everyone have stopped to fight. That’s it. For return to Ayu, she doesn’t deserve a such shameful end. We should have seen her contact or being contacting by Holden to started some big operations in the Myre and Ashfeld to destabilize and then chasing the Mongols instead of all the mid stuff we got.

And then the lord orders of today. « Because House Dokuja has fallen and the other Houses are rebelled, Mongol power is weaker. ». What a waste! Contrary, without Emperor, Houses should be more exposed than even, divided by their desires to take the imperial throne, and so even more exposed to Guljin’s forces. But, again, no. The writers presented us the Mongols and Guljin as cruel and powerful and they are just strong when the writing need it. Awesome.

Sorry if it sound too violent and it’s just a video game but I’ve need to write to for its frustrating. The lore of For Honor has, since Y1, a great potential even through the origin story of each faction (Great Empire of the Knights, the Valkenheim Empire of the Vikings, the exodus of the Samurais) or their culture, even if it’s in a invasion context like what we have currently, and seeing it be treated like that with a lot of plotholes, non finished stories, bad or strange retcons, inconsistencies, characters we never seeing again one season, make me crazy. Of course that changing of writers for the x time don’t help to keep a consistency but why they don’t put more effort to do this? They have and make bibles on the Wiki-like Confluences tool which repertory’s all the information about an element and certainly other tools like Oasis, Excel and Final Draft, like explains Elise Trinh (writers from Y3 to Y5) at the page 51 of ARSENAULT D. & THÉRIAULT P., "La scénarisation de jeux vidéo au Québec", in TREMBLAY G. (dir.), Voix et images. Regards actuels sur la scénarisation au Québec, Volume 47, numéro 2 (140), Montréal, Université du Québec à Montréal, 2022 Winter, 144 p., p. 43-59, edition numerised in Erudit, on line since 17 February 2023, on https://www.erudit.org/fr/revues/vi/2022-v47-n2-vi07628/1095708ar.pdf [on line] [originally consulted the 20th February 2024] (original post: https://www.reddit.com/r/forhonor/comments/1avj08f/some\_infos\_on\_the\_view\_of\_elise\_trinh\_on\_the\_lore/?solution=8835e6e8885d22568835e6e8885d2256&js\_challenge=1&token=7afd7253fec22262ff1c52b1703fe9ec495de7ec55f9bb2fb30b01c93b024473&jsc\_orig\_r=)

I love the game and it’s lore and it’s really a shame to seeing it being treated like this.

What is your opinion toward inconsistencies, retcons and plot holes in For Honor?

With the implementation of the "lore" section for each hero, some inconsistencies and retcons have been implemented and I would like to know what is you opinion on all the inconsistencies, retcons and plot holes introduced since Year 4? Did you hate them or did you see them as new vision on X character, hero or event?

For me, they are frustrating, because they say something else (invented or false) on something introduced since a long time in-game. In the case of plot holes, they don’t conclude a story. It's like the writers - who are, like I've already said, passionate and inventive - don't take the time to check if the things they introduce at each season are coherents with what they introduced during the previous seasons or what the game had established since Y1 an don’t know how to finish a story arc. I understand it's difficult to maintain a global consistency when the writers change over the years and have their own point of views but did it is really difficult to verify what the lore said on x character or faction before creating something, or it's just because they are limited in-time and cannot verify at each time they elaborate new story and characters if what they create is consistent with the previous established elements, neither creating a story with proper beginning and end ?

Of course, all these inconsistencies, plot holes and retcons can be corrected or even retconned again in order to make a whole coherent lore, and myself I planned to write a project which will be published here in which I will correct all these errors, but why the writers don't do this? Did It is, again, by lack of time? I don't know, and this made the thing even more frustrating.

A nice lore reference.

Altan is the Guljin’s representative at the Dokuja’s banquet.

And if the leader of the next Knight hero group would be a commander of the Iron Legion?

I've always find pity that the old lore element that commanders of the Iron Legion are doesn't have been used in the lore. They are only mentioned, at least, two times in the campaign (in the beginning of the last cinematic of the Vikings chapter where we learn the true goal of Apollyon and then in an observable in the Honor mission). Wit the fact that a new Knight hero will come at the end of the year, I've thinking it would be the perfect occasion to use this part of the lore to create the new warriors group of Knights and its leader.

What do you think of that?

What could be the big announce made tomorrow during the Warrior's Den alongside the presentation of the next Samurai hero?

We know that when a Warrior's Den is made one week before the launch of the next update, something of big is announced during it. Last year, it was the announcement of the cross-platform.

The tomorrow's Warrior's Den will present all the upcoming stuff which will added the next week (see: u/syncyus-, "July Roadmap", in r/forhonor, published the July 1 2026, on https://www.reddit.com/r/forhonor/comments/1ukps27/july_roadmap/ [on line] [consulted the July 15 2026]), but what it could be? Faraam as theorized that Ubisoft will added a Ranked mode for each game modes, and pointed that four new Ranked icons appeared furtively when developers present the background of the party loading screen in the last Warrior's Den (Cf.: "They Accidentally Revealed the Future of For Honor and their BIGGEST UPDATE", in Faraam, YouTube, published the June 21 2026, on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbwlC-SbD9Y [on line] [consulted the July 15 2026]).

For me, I don't know and I prefer wait and see what they planned to us.

Are you agree with all of this or have you your own idea(s) of what Ubisoft could announces tomorrow, or did you believe that nothing of special will be revealed, apart from the new hero of course?

The lore of Thug Life, the Traversal [FR: Mobile] Emote of the Y10S2 Battle Pass, a possible clue for the identity and origin of the next Samurai hero? [Text EN/FR]

Did the next Samurai hero, and so the shadow figure that Saburo catch a sight of in the Dokuja's palace, could be members of a bandits/gangsta/rebels-like group which rise up against Khatuns domination?

How to resolve the reward indicator bug?

Note: Sorry if my syntax and writing expression are not clear.

Hello everybody,

I know that I'm not the only one who encounter this problem which was already talked about here, but since many months I have the same problem: when I receive for many Heroes the symbols from the Hero Fests or the rewards from Battle, Legacy and Event passes, not all the heroes have the little yellow symbol which indicate that they receive them and where. For example, if I reach the grade of a Pass who gives an Outfit for an entire faction, some heroes will receive all the indicators which indicate they receive something when we go on the Heroes tab and where when we go in "Personalization" (Outfits, Symbols, Colors, Ornements, Effects...), some others will don't have the little yellow symbol at right and only indicate that they receive some elements (such as Colors or Symbols) when we go in “Personalization" and others don't have none of these indications when they indeed receive something.

I've made a report on the Ubisoft Bug Report and because I wasn't clear, they thinking that the Event (here an Heroes Fest) doesn't work for me and advice me to rebooting Ubisoft Connect and For Honor and verify my game files if the problem persist. For I do not want have any kind of problem on my PC, I don't go too further in my files and I don't searching to rebooting Ubisoft Connect. I only uninstalled and reinstalled For Honor but the problem seems to be still here.

I know this is a minor problem and there is certainly much more important bugs to resolve for the team, but did someone have finding a solution to this problem or do I must address a message to u/UbiYubble and/or to u/Ubi-Gold-Raven to know if the team is aware of this problem?

Thank you in advance for your answers!

Have a great day !

What is/are the thing(s) or/and parts that you like to see the most in the Titan Talks?

For me, its the skins and gods reveals, the answers to the questions about the state of the game and of the company, and what mechanics or features the team planned or could plan to add in the future.

Note: the fact that the developers are really open to talk about some subjects is a real plus.

Hello everyone,

Since few days ago, I'm really worried of the possibility that we saw in the future more and more AI generated content in the game because of the incredible improvements that this new technology known each year, a fear reinforced by the recent inclusion of AI generated images on the introduction trailers of Y9S4 and Y10S1.

But my anxiety does not stop to AI generated images, it goes also to the voice actors who are among the first who are threatened to be replaced by synthetic voices in a near future.

I'm really worried about the future with this new technology, not only for For Honor, but for all the pieces of art (painting, illustration, film, series, books, comic strips, videos games, music, singing...) and the works who are related to them (painters, illustrators, actors, voice/dubbing actors, directors, writers, musicians, composers, singers...) from all around the world, though this technology can be an incredible tool, for example to completed a incomplete text in history or improve the medicine.

With all of that in mind, I think that it could be a reason for me to play less and less to the game, or even to stop to playing at it if this really happens in a near of far future.

What do you thinking about this topic? Did you think that we must prepare ourselves to see more and more AI generated content on For Honor in the future, until it replace the artists and voice actors, or it could be reduced with appropriated laws protecting the right of the artists and actors against AI in the future?
