I'm not interested in balance to be clear. If I wanted balance or good combat mechanics in general, I would not be playing skyrim (and frankly I'm not good enough at actually playing video games for it to matter). I just want to vaporize my enemies with lightning at higher skill levels as easily as a stealth archer can one-shot a draugr scourge. I want AOE spells that could flatten a militia. I want the kind of power that makes you wonder if maybe the nords have a point about mages. If I've gone to the effort to get to destruction 100 I deserve to be a devastating natural disaster in a fancy robe instead of a sad wet cat of a man with the destructive power of a metal filing cabinet on static-riddled carpet.
Apocalypse and Ordinator definitely help but they still don't really bring Destruction magic up to a level that makes pure mage a viable build over mundane/hybrid combat.
If anyone knows of stuff specific to storm magic in particular that would be even better, because I do kinda have a vibe going with my current mage LDB.
