Banned by Resy today, they said my Amex card be shut down?
My resy account was banned today and they said it was for violating their terms and conditions but would not tell me what I did wrong.
I booked 3 reservations through the resy app for Mother’s Day so my mom had options, all at different times. I planned to cancel the others once she chose. I did not use a bot or a third party service for these reservations in anyway, I booked manually through the app.
Today, all my reservations were cancelled and my account was banned and I received this:
“Resy does not disclose specific information related to its processes for terminating accounts when it believes a customer has violated Resy’s Terms of Service. Resy also reserves the right to cancel any American Express Cards or other Resy accounts that we believe are associated with misuse.”
I will say I have in the past used a 3rd party NOTIFICATION SYSTEM, it was not “botted” and when it notified me, I had to manually go to the resy app and manually make the reservation. I did not have any open reservations from the 3rd party system at the time of the ban. Shame on me If this was the cause i guess.
All in all, will they actually cancel my Amex as well? Have this happened to anyone ? I have never made a late payment, have good credit, and spend well within my income limit. I’ve been a responsible Amex users for almost 10 years.
