Just remember one thing
Don't buy or get your watch repaired from this man on Bank Road Saddar. The shop is on ground floor. The repair centre is upstairs. Even though his shop is pretty old, he's just greedy and very rude.
Last night, I got my watch chain shortened. Then I asked for battery replacement.The battery he told me would cost 600. I said fine but it better be a good battery. He told me not to worry.
Then it was time to pay. And he shamelessly asked for 1000.
600 for battery plus 200 for removing each link of the chain. I remained cool but I was like: khair to hai? Told him I hadn't even negotiated for the battery yet.
Then I gave him 700 and left the scene.
This was my experience with the salesperson. I have had similar experience earlier with the shop owner. I wanted get my mother's watch strap replaced. He asked for a 1000 for the strap. I was cool. I gave it to him and asked him to let me show it to my mother who was at the dentist nearby. My mother didn't like the strap and asked me to return it. I went back. The man handed me 500 rupees back saying 500 is his service fee, just for replacing the strap.
