My neighbours intentionally goad my reactive dog and I’m exhausted

Really just a vent here. I have a female 5 year old blue heeler mix named Darcy. Darcy is a really good girl but she can mildly reactive. She’s not aggressive, but can be incredibly vocal and work herself into a total meltdown. This is particularly bad in locations she sees as “hers” like right outside of our house (on walks and public places away from our house, like parks, she’s not vocal at all). We’re working on it with a trainer and I’ve seen a bit of progress.

Here’s the problem though, we live in a townhouse (so very close to my neighbours) and often when I take her out the front (usually at the start of a walk or to get in the car, etc.) my neighbours are out there and intentionally goad her on to bark. They will often start walking towards her, telling her to speak, pretend barking themselves (these are grown adults — are they 5???). When Darcy gets into a particularly bad episode and I am working to remove her from her triggers they will literally point and laugh at her.

The pointing and laughing is what upsets me the most. I’ve tried talking to them about the situation to no avail (“she’s just a dog she’s supposed to bark” - my neighbours). I know when she’s having a barking episode that she’s in distress and upset and I remove her from the situation as soon as possible, but why would you laugh at a dog in distress? I just don’t understand. Basically I’m just exhausted by this and wish I had different neighbours and needed to vent 😭

Inherited a collection and advice welcome!

I just inherited my grandfather’s pretty large coin / paper money collection (not a collector myself). I’m looking to get it off my hands and sell it but I’m not really sure where to start. I’ve been in contact with a local business that specializes in coin selling/buying and they told me to just bring the collection in.

It’s a large and kind of a mess of a collection though, should I organize and record everything I have in advance? Just not sure where to start and would love some advice! I am expecting a lot of the collection to just be worth face value but I don’t want any to slip through the cracks.

For context: I’m in Canada and most of the collection are Canadian coins and paper money.

I've found this has really helped me and thought I'd share:

Hi all, I lost Simba, my rescue dog/best friend/soulmate/partner in crime of 12 years, in January of this year. To say the loss has destroyed me would be an understatement. I've been doing something that really helps me still feel close to her and thought I'd share.

Everyone grieves in different ways, but for me I constantly want to look at pictures, watch videos, and be reminded of her.

One thing that I did shortly after her passing that helped me was create an album on my phone with every picture I had of her from the past 12 years (thousands of photos!). I then made that album my phone background and set it to change every 24 hours. Now every morning when I wake up I have a new "Simba Picture of the Day" to look forward to. Some of the pictures are really nice, and others are just very silly! It's made me still feel close to Simba and brings a smile (and sometimes tears) to my face every morning.

Thought I'd share just in case it may help someone else out there (we're all in this together!). ❤️❤️❤️
