Do not take caplyta

I don’t care about people who have good reactions. This caused a traumatizing event for me. I took it the first night 42mg and was a little out of it but okay other than some burning in my legs. When I woke up I felt like I had been roofied. I was slow, confused, disoriented, with major visual effects. I could barely walk straight and felt like passing out. I could barely move without pain. I could barely breathe deeply without pain. I had a fever and felt completely drugged out of my mind. I spent the day sleeping until 8pm waking up on and off but only slept because I couldn’t even look at my phone. I couldn’t even toss and turn without pain. I felt like I had been really drugged… when I’d stand it felt like vertigo and I had to take minuscule steps just to walk. I walked hunched over and very slow as my legs felt like weights on my feet and were so painful to make any steps. Nothing made sense and I was terrified. I didn’t take the med again after my first dose and still had effects into the next day. I’m on day 3 now and finally feel back to normal but am so genuinely terrified. (I am someone who has treatment resistant to medication. This was the last med they could put me on as everything else has failed.) I called my doctor and told them I will not be coming back because now I have developed a true phobia to psych meds. Be careful. Advocate for yourself. People who are taking this for weeks with side effects if you have other options and this isn’t your last option TAKE THOSE FIRST
