Hello everyone,
I’m from Denmark and this summer I’m driving to Bosnia with my car. One of the first things I want to do is take it to a mechanic, because I’ve heard car repairs there are much cheaper compared to Denmark and other countries.
I have a 2009 VW Golf 6 2.0 diesel, and I really want to take care of the car properly while I’m there. I already got a list from a mechanic of the things that should preferably be fixed soon, although some of it might still be able to wait a bit.
The main things are:
- Timing belt + water pump
- Rear brake calipers (left and right)
- Brake discs and brake pads
- Left front spring
- Wheel alignment
- Stabilizer links
- Possibly clutch + flywheel later on
Does anyone here have experience with mechanics/workshops in Bosnia?
How was the quality of the work, and how much money did you actually save compared to your home country?
Would really appreciate any recommendations or experiences 🙌
