I just started my Ph.D at 27. Looking at all the Ph.D students passing from my lab is making me anxious. It took 7 years on average to complete their Ph.D. However they did MS-Ph.D and I enrolled in Ph.D after masters. But My lab associates say it will take at least 6 years for me to finish. Sometimes I overwork and still my efforts get unappreciated. This demotivates me. I feel like I am slipping into depression.
