Calorie Deficit Whilst at a Buffet?

I'm going to a buffet today and I know I shouldnt and that I'm brining it upon myself n that but it's with family and we haven't gone out in a while so I'd like to enjoy this moment. I'm doing quite well with my calorie deficit and I've gotten all my steps in aswell so I don't really wanna ruin the progress but I don't want to not eat anything at the buffet cuz it's already been paid for and I don't want my family to become worried especially since they're concerned about my deficit since I don't eat the same meals as them cuz they're cooked with a lot of fat🥲

Theres a lot of meat so maybe I could go for that? But it's all been fried so I'm guessing the calories are high

Theres dessert and cake but I don't even need to explain that. All I've had today is a black coffee so should I just save my calories for the buffet and portion control?

Any advice would honest be so helpful!

And thank you to everyone who reads this!!

Edit: Ive been to the buffet but thank you SO much to everyone who sent a message they were all so helpful and sweet! I ended up having mainly protein (tho very saucy and fried lol) and a LOT of dessert like ice cream n cake. Worth it but I'm still bloated hours later 🥲

How do I get my sense of food back?

Ive been dieting for like 4 months now (started around March-April times) and I've gotten the weight I want and all that but the issue is I can't look at food without thinking of how processed it is or how many calories it has. I also don't know when or if I should eat snacks/food apart from my 3 meals a day which I do still eat. For example, I keep thinking about food but keep refusing snacks and I keep eating and eating junk and it's stressing me out

How Often Should I eat?

I'm currently in a slight bulk (recomposition, maintainance, whatever u wanna call it) and before when I was in deficit, I used to eat 3 meals a day only and I'd space them out 5-6 hours (they were really filling and I didn't crave food and whatnot). Rarely, I'd get a little snack craving and then I'd have like fruit or something like that but recently I haven't been eating the healthiest with the hot weather and all this ice cream and I've had some events so it's also caused me to want to eat more. I'm not sure if this should be happening or if it's because my meals aren't satiating enough (I have sound 25-30g protein per meal and at LEAST 5-10g fiber and I don't feel hungry normally). Normally I have breakfast at 7:30 and finish around 7:50 and then go. I have a break at 11:10 where people can eat a snack but I normally skip this. Then, it's really odd but I get hungry at exactly 12-12:30 and my stomach grumbles but afterwards it stops and I don't get hungry whatsoever. Our lunch officially starts at 1:30 and that's when I eat my second meal of the day. Then I come home and eat around 6:30-7:30 depending on time as I try eat at least 2 hours before bed. When can I incorporate a snack into this as I want to eat satiating meals that keep me full enough so that I DON'T crave a snack. So should I eat smaller meals and more snacks or larger meals and no snacks (as I've been doing)? Also not very relevant but could anyone say how many vitamins, minerals and nutrients I'm supposed to be getting everyday as a girl? Like Vitamin A and magnesium -that kinda stuff- because I'm trying to eat clean/whole foods and avoid processed food to take care of my gut health aswell and just to not crave unhealthy food in general and focus more on the benefits of food rather than the calories itself. Tysm to anyone who responds!!

Is 1200 calories enough to build muscle?

I'm a sendetary girl and my maintenance was around 1500 calories so I since I thought less than 1000 calories wasnt safe, I started with 1200 and I've seen good weight loss and I've been able to eat 3 meals a day and I dont feel hungry. My current issue is I want to gain muscle now and I don't think I can do it with this diet (I've lost my small muscles I had on my arms from this diet and lack of exercise) so I think I need to up it but I don't want to gain the weight I lost back cuz it took 5 MONTHS I cannot if i go back to my og weight but I srsly wanna get muscles as well so any advice on how much I should eat around in a day and some workouts for a PURE beginner to build muscle (no equipment at home I beg) keep in mind I can only do a max of 2 pushups! And thank you so much to anybody who responds in advance; have a great day!

What does the "Of Which Sugars" label mean?

Ive seen it SO many times on so many labels but I don't know what it is. I checked with Google and apparently it's how many of the carbs are "simple sugars" but is that for overall sugar or is it another word for simple carbs? Any advice on this would be really appreciated tysm!

How do I stop eating when I'm not hungry?

Ive been on a deficit recently and my calorie intake has been under 1200 calories or around that much but before I used to skip meals and eat under 1000 calories in which I was really hungry so I started eating proper meals. I still eat around 1200 calories a day but it's enough to keep me full but the problem is even when I'm NOT hungry I still crave food or sweets and I'm not too sure why like if im busy on a task then food never crosses my mind but if I'm just watching my computer then I ALWAYS get the urge to eat and it's really affecting my diet... Soooo any help?!
