Stimming with electric toothbrush (not sexual)
Hello fellow Aspergirls! I was just wondering if I’m the only weirdo that closes their eyes to feel/focus on the vibration of the toothbrush on the teeth and gums better?

In our field we’re often told that you should avoid overprotection to not increase hyperacusis. I’m wondering if this is applicable to autistics? In the schools around where I live they seem to give autistic kids earmuffs quite liberally. Is it even the same kind of hyperacusis or more of a sensory processing disorder?
I’m curious if your style has changed after you learned that you’re autistic. I find myself really connecting to what I want to wear: bright colors, sparkle etc. I’ve stopped myself from wearing stuff that looks young/girl like before. Now the inner child wants to come out and play big time, except I’m 40 lol. Don’t you find it weird that we have quirky style which people will naturally look at yet we don’t like to be perceived? I want to express myself and look like a rainbow puked on me yet I don’t like the looks 🤔
I constantly do weird sounds, little songs and say multiple variations of my dogs name. Do you also verbal stim that way?
