Dear Ather Team,
I am writing to escalate a serious issue regarding my recent vehicle purchase from your dealership in Aluva, Ernakulam, Kerala.
I have paid the full amount for the vehicle, and the same has already been registered. However, the dealership is refusing to deliver my vehicle unless I submit a signed cheque of ₹5000 as a “guarantee” that I will not purchase another EV or claim subsidy again.
This condition was never communicated to me before purchase. Additionally, I was informed that the cheque need not even be from my own account, which raises serious concerns about the legitimacy and intent of this demand.
I have also verified with other Ather dealerships in Ernakulam, and they confirmed that no such practice exists.
Despite full payment and completion of registration, my vehicle delivery is being unlawfully withheld. This is highly unprofessional and appears to be an unfair trade practice.
I request your immediate intervention to:
- Ensure delivery of my vehicle without any illegal conditions
- Investigate this dealership’s conduct
- Confirm that such practices are not endorsed by Ather Energy
If this issue is not resolved immediately, I will be compelled to proceed with a formal complaint through the Consumer Court and other regulatory authorities.
Please treat this matter as urgent.
