Increased economy by > 25%.

I was using my Ather Rizta Z (2.9 kW) without giving much thought about per charge range. I was using everyday for around 22 km to drop kid to school and daily office commute. I was getting 70 km range for 100% to 30% battery drop. One day I thought about how can I improve range. I did my reasearch I applied it. Now I am getting 87 km range for same charge drop.

I did this 4 major changes:

  1. Regularly topped up tyre pressure,

  2. Switched off daily (over night 2% battery drop was happening)

  3. I selected route which are 5-10% longer but had good road & less traffic. (Less acceleration/de-accreleration)

  4. I started running Rizta on SmartEco mode and turned off coastal regeneration & turned on magic twist. I use magic twist for better control of coastal regeneration.

I have faced only 1 issue, which is 1 out of 10 times when I again switch on the vehicle in the morning side light sound gets muted. To resolve I have to restart the vehicle.

Peace.

Shall I cancel my Rizta Z 3.5 booking and wait for Konark?

I booked my Rizta top model on 7th August in kolkata and still waiting for it expected delivery is by the end of August. With the konark leaks coming in I'm having second thoughts now because of the following speculative features:

  1. 200km idc range

  2. metal body

  3. inbuilt charger

  4. cheaper price

If these things are true then buying a Rizta will be a big regret especially so close to launch date. Also I really need the big booty >:) space on my scooty because of errands, will konark have similar boot space like Rizta?

2022 Ather 450X on Invoice & RC, but App shows 450 Plus — Bought used for ₹70k

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a 2022 Ather second-hand for ₹70,000. The previous owner told me it was an Ather 450X.

I checked the documents and found:

Invoice: Ather 450X

RC: Ather 450X

But in the Ather app/display configuration, it is showing Ather 450 Plus

Model year: 2022

Purchased from Bhiwandi

Currently being used in Nashik

Usage is very simple — mostly village/local commuting, nothing aggressive.

This has confused me because both the original invoice and RC clearly mention 450X, but the Ather app is showing 450 Plus.

Could this be a software/account/configuration issue? Or is it possible that the scooter was originally a 450 Plus and something was changed later?

What is the best way to confirm the actual factory variant? Should I contact Ather with the VIN/chassis number and ask them to verify the original model?

If anyone owns a 2022 Ather 450X or has faced the same issue where the app shows 450 Plus, please share your experience.

Also, I bought it for ₹70,000, so I would really appreciate advice on whether I should be concerned or if this is just a documentation/software issue.

Thanks in advance!

10,000 km on my 450X, here's the honest version

Crossed 10k km on my 450X recently so thought I'd share an actual ownership update instead of another first week review 😂

Overall I've been pretty happy with it. Still love how it rides and the scooter has held up well with pretty regular use.

But 2 things genuinely annoy me. The suspension can feel pretty firm on bad roads, the app has had its random moments

but at the eod it's my first child

Ather Rizta won’t start because BOTH brake switches failed — and RSA was basically useless

I’m honestly just frustrated right now and needed to rant / see if anyone else has faced this with their Rizta.
I have an Ather Rizta, and today I had to quickly run an errand. I went to start the scooter and… nothing.
I tried the usual stuff, including rebooting, but obviously that wasn’t getting me anywhere because the scooter wasn’t even responding properly.
I eventually contacted a mechanic I know who works with Ather, and after speaking to him I found out that the issue appears to be the brake switches. The ridiculous part is that both the front and rear brake switches have apparently stopped working.
So basically, the scooter thinks the brakes aren’t being engaged and won’t start.
I then contacted Ather Roadside Assistance, and honestly, that experience was incredibly frustrating. I explained that I had already tried rebooting the scooter, but I was still told to reboot it. Then I was told to put it on charge.
At that point I thought, okay, I’ll just get Roadside Assistance.
I’m a student, so obviously I’m trying to save money wherever I can. I found the cheaper Ather RSA option and purchased it specifically because I needed assistance right now.
Only AFTER purchasing it did I find out that there is apparently a 15-day waiting/cooldown period before I can actually use it.
What the actual fuck?
If there’s a 15-day waiting period, why isn’t that made extremely clear before purchasing the service? I wouldn’t have bought it if I knew I couldn’t use it for the exact situation I was buying it for.
I’m now stuck with a scooter that won’t start because both brake switches apparently failed, RSA can’t help me because of a cooldown period, and the official support experience hasn’t exactly helped either.
Maybe I’m missing something here, but this whole experience has been incredibly frustrating.
Has anyone else with a Rizta had both brake switches fail? And is there any way to get this resolved quickly without having to pay out of pocket for something that should arguably be covered by Ather?
Because right now, I’m honestly just thinking: fuck Ather service.

Developed an Webapp fix for IOS ditching the Ather App

After long time complaining about the ather app about it's bad state on IOS took matter in my own hands and tried solving it ,and built a Webapp which functions same like an App while fixing the wrecked Ather app issues. Also fixed that annoying MapMyIndia map, now using directly searching via Google Maps and sending the location to scooter avoiding the nonsense sharing.

Well just made 1/1 Ather 450x

As i brought the 450x gen 5 and from day 1 i was planning to do ppf on it but again was confused which finish to do

Scooter is stealth blue ( matte finish with blue to purple/violet colour shift) then after hell lot of brain storming i went with gloss ppf

And man results are like this

Ather has the worse product and service team

They are too casual , 2nd time i am facing these people and they don’t care a bit of the product they sell ,
Screen stopped working , maps dont sync properly nor reroute , indicators dont work horn not working , how am i going to drive this in Bangalore traffic .

Please don’t buy their products, they are a waste of money to be very honest .

Their support doesn’t respond on time nor care for your vehicle.

Rizta S charging extremely slowly

Hello folks meed your help pls

I have an Ather Rizta S and recently noticed that it seems to be charging much slower than expected.

Today I decided to track it:

- 2:05 PM – 32%

- 3:06 PM – 41%

- 4:07 PM – 47%

- 5:10 PM – 52%

- 5:46 PM – 55%

- 6:19 PM – 59%

- 7:42 PM – 67%

So it has taken 5 hours 37 minutes to go from 32% to 67%, only a 35% increase.

Yesterday/previously, I also left it charging for around 10 hours and it still wasn't fully charged.

I got an electrician to check the wall socket/supply and he says everything is fine. The charger brick gets warm/lightly hot but nothing extreme.

I also called Ather support. They asked me to reboot the scooter by holding both brakes + start button for around 30 seconds. I did that at roughly 59%, but charging still seems slow afterwards.

The scooter shows that it is actively charging and I don't see any Optimised Charging/slow charging setting

Does this look abnormal, or am I missing something? Could this be an issue with the portable charger/BMS rather than the battery itself?

well aren't they supposed to give 2 complimentary helmets according to the new rule?

I just found out from someone in my family that when they purchased a new scooter from any brand, the dealership is supposed to give 2 helmets. Keeping that in mind, I was checking here on reddit if anyone did but apparently 90% of people never got 2 complimentary helmets and funnily the last 10% are only from Maharashtra.

Well since I am at KL and the rules here are strictly enforced.... I really hope my dealer gives me 2 helmets. Yes, I know it would be the half faced helmet but a helmet is a helmet and I would like to have 2 as pillion laws in KL are really strict as well.

I do have a nice ECE certified helmet but it's in Ahmedabad and I don't think I can just send it here since my fam is using a scooter 😔.

Ather Ritz S 3.7Kwh without stack pro

My use case scenario is around 30 km per day , city travel.- chennai and occasional rides around my area

As battery as the tendency to depreciate I am going for 3.7

My question is

What is the need for stack pro??

As the company itself is giving 3yrs or 30,000km warrenty....I feel that if the bike is in good condition for 3 yrs it will be sorted for rest of its life... maximum battery capacity will degrade...so what since I am going for 3.7kwh battery I think I am sorted

And also if I put stack pro warrenty is for 5 yrs or 50,000km I think by 3 yrs it will reach 50k km(10k to 12k per yr plus occasional rides around my area)

I think there is no point in putting stack pro

What's ur opinion on this thought

It looks like they don't care about customer service anymore.

Previously, they used to reply within 1 hour. Now it's been about 3 days, and I haven't even received the auto-generated reply from the team. What do you guys think? Is this the same for all of you?

BATTER REPLACEMENT?

I bought my Ather 450X in August 2022 from Bangalore ran 20100kms. I gave my Ather for service to fix my stand while doing this I told them to check the batter too cause i felt some batter charging issue. Now they said 20% of batter cells have imbalance and they need to replace it will cost either 1

  1. 13,000rs - with 6 months or 5,000kms warranty

  2. 33,000rs - with 18months or 20,000kms warranty whatever comes first

He told me its the exact same battery just more warranty thats all. (sounded strange)

I just checked my ather app. I dont think i fall in the warranty its been more than 3 year. (Even though I can't explicitly find this on the app. Im assuming)

What should i do?
