I removed a tattoo myself in 2021 and gave myself a serious burn. Is there anything I can do about the scar now?
While having a very specific “episode” in 2021 (I was 17), I removed a tattoo by myself. It was located on pelvic region.
I did a quick internet search for tattoo removal at home advice and found the easy method of scrubbing lemon juice and salt with sterile gauze. I scrubbed for about 45 minutes to an hour and created a very serious burn (but removed the tattoo successfully). After a few days of excruciating pain, I went to the ER, and they said I was on the verge of sepsis.
Do you have any advice on what to do with it? Should I see a plastic surgeon? Will time do its job, or should I just leave it be?
First three pics are take right after the great removal process, fourth is the scar now.
