How many hours did you Study for exams? 📚

Hey so just wanted to do like a general survey to get an idea of how many hours did you happen to study.
Just wanted everyone to share so we can have an idea of where we’re all at.

Here’s mine:
FAR - 240 hours / passed
TCP - 100 hours / waiting for results

Quick Studying Tip for CPA

Watch the videos on your phone it’s SOOO MUCH EASIER TO CONCENTRATE!!!

I think it’s the fact that holding the phone makes it seems like I’m watching YouTube or Netflix but my god compared to staring at a computer screen it’s night and day. 🙏

Hey everybody, I’m planning to study for REG, do you believe one miente is enough. For those who passed can you tell me how many hours you studied for and what is generally needed to be focused on.

I already passed FAR in April, took TCP last week exactly so I’m hoping the content overall helps me out.

The reason I want to take it in month is because I want to take before June 8 since this is the cutoff date for when scores will be released at June 16. I want to get my results for both TCP and REG at the same time so that’s the reason. Is this cutoff date right?

Any advice and tips greatly appreciated 🙏

Okay so I felt the same way coming out of FAR it’s just that I’m more sure that I got more questions wrong so to speak. 😬

MCQS: Out of the 68 total MCQS, I marked down 20 in which I wasn’t 100% confident of the answer. Out of these 20 I would say about 10 were based on material/question style that I had never seen reviewed on Beckers course. About 5 were related to topics discussed in Becker but from an angle and focus it wasn’t given. The other 5 where just ones where I was between one or another and I wasn’t sure so 50/50.

I’m hoping I hit at least half of these and the others are perhaps those pretest questions that don’t count towards final score. 🙏

TBS: Out of the 7 TBS, I was pretty confident in 6 of them, perhaps I wasn’t sure about one cell blank or two. I was pretty sure in about 3 of them. 1 of the TBS simulations though I know that I must have gotten at least 50% wrong. Not because the material wasn’t reviewed, it just wasn’t that focused on. Did not detect any specific TBS that felt to odd or different from the rest of the bunch as with the MCQS so not one particularly stood out as a PreTest.

Im hoping for those 12 pretest questions on MCQS and hitting those ones right I had doubts and if there is a curve to help us out 🙏🙏. Can’t wait for June 16 even dreamt about the exam last night.

Okay two questions:

  1. First, how many of the MCQS and TBS are pretest questions, meaning they don’t count towards your final score? I know for FAR apparently 12 out of 50 don’t count.

  2. Is it true that TCP has a curved score, I’ve read many comments on people indicating that scores are curved or weighted can anyone answer this or is it graded like other exams?
