Does this strike you as similar to Raiden’s situation in MGS2. A battlefield machine that was only VR tested being put out into an actual battlefield. Could it be that all the reasons we were told as to why Raiden was chosen were a lie. And he was actually just a new model of bidepal/infantry/artillery. A new metal gear just not nuclear equipped!

She says, “hear me Snake, our country is an innocent child once more”. This struck me as a little odd. Does Naomi really consider America her country?

She wasn’t born there and [I do remember her taking about America with a hint of disdain](https://youtu.be/R4I0l4o65JQ?is=oOyueaNP-gv_Bz1F&t=4h55m45s). She sarcastically says, “he brought us back to this land of freedom, … this America”.

As for Snake, he straight up tells us, “I’m no patriot”! He also referred to himself as a nomad to Olga.

I’m not sure they ever viewed America as an innocent child. So what could Naomi have been referring to that she wants Snake to hear so badly?

Note she says all this after all the AI have been destroyed:

“Our country is an innocent child one more”.

“A new dawn is Rising”.

“Now she can build a new destiny for herself”.

“You’ve earned your rest”.

The question is why is Raiden theirs? Especially Naomi who supposedly barely knows him? Maybe he is theirs because of what he means to them! 👀

Big Boss explained that [for him to wake again the system had to be destroyed](https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkx8EmZFepsapqSEVYO-eg4ATIAyqEygrO1?si=vXPHHSLtQHumt\_Ok). He explained that Eva stole his body and then refitted it with pieces of Liquid and Solidus.

He also said that [Naomi told him everything](https://youtu.be/wEUtXH1cvkg?si=1YyywrF9YvNK1trB&t=11h11m38s). But how could she TELL him anything if he wasn’t awake. She died before the system was destroyed! How could she be having a FOLLOW UP with him if he wasn’t awake? Note that a recording is not a follow up. You need interaction for a follow up! So Naomi was talking to be Big Boss and TOLD him these things.

Maybe Big Boss not being AWAKE has to do with his WILL and not his physical body. Remember how Naomi described the first System test when they released those PMC soldier’s nanomachines from the System. She explained they didn’t understand the mental control. “Their MEMORIES unlike their senses weren’t erased”. Could it be that Big Boss not being awake simply means that the nanomachines were suppressing his MEMORIES and this is what is being associated with his WILL?

This would explain why Naomi could be talking with him while he wasn’t awake. He was alive and conscious but his memory was locked away. This may be what Naomi’s follow ups were for. Reminding him of his past and updating him on the current happenings.

3. In the last 3 pics Naomi’s eyes are directed to Snake but are her words pointed in that direction too? Or are her words pointed at Raiden as well? He keeps appearing in the frame.

Kojima described MGS4 “SENSE” theme as the will of people, the emotion of people. What does Naomi’s emotion toward Raiden tell us. What do you SENSE?

When talking to Ocelot, neither Solidus nor Ocelot seems concerned about the Cyborg Ninja. I get why Ocelot may not be concerned but shouldn’t Solidus be? And even if Ocelot was already aware that the Cyborg Ninja would be at the Big Shell shouldn’t he be faking concern when in front of Solidus?

Unless they are both on the same page about the Ninja’s presence on the Big Shell and were just keeping that fact from Olga? Note that even at the end of the game Ocelot doesn’t explain who the Ninja is. Neither he nor Solidus realize it is Olga.

Ocelot at the end of MGS2 detailed everybody’s role in the charade. He explained who everyone was a stand in for to match the events of Shadow Moses. Who did he say played the role of the Cyborg Ninja?🤔

He didn’t. He only says “he arranged for the presence of the Ninja as well”. Do you arrange for the presence of a stand in? Or do you get a stand in to fill a role?

If Ocelot thought someone was playing the “role” of the Ninja he would have told us who it was. He was spilling all the beans at the end but he doesn’t say who was playing this role. This is because Ocelot actually believes it’s the same Cyborg Ninja from MGS1 i.e. Gray Fox.

If he didn’t believe this why would he say, “but you died” when the Ninja tried to cut his hand of again. It supposed to be a recreation. The events don’t have to be the same down to the last detail.

Ocelot and Solidus fell for Olga’s smokescreen. And even when they flushed her out and realized she was a Patriot agent they didn’t know she was the Cyborg Ninja.

The take away is that Ocelot believes Gray Fox was alive and playing his part on the Big Shell. He just was wrong as to who Fox was.😉

Is the Plant chapter not a life or death mission?

Is it really just a game just like usual?

Could it have anything to do with Snake and Raiden, given that we play as Snake on the Tanker and Raiden during the Plant.

Could Raiden be like Liquid/Eli who lives on after he dies in MGS1 through a hand so he overcomes death. So it will never be game over. Maybe like Vamp, Raiden is somewhat immortal? So it’s never game over just Mission Failed.😂

But seriously why the difference.

Rose the Patriot spy was targeting him but how did she pull him in? Was it just her artificially beautiful disguise? She pulled him in with an incorrect answer to the Japanese tourists question.

She said it was probably the Chrysler building that King Kong was climbing in the movie to bait Raiden in and he bit, saying no it was the Empire State Building. They started arguing and Rose forgot all about the tourist! Before they knew it the Japanese women had gone away.

Wow, how could she?

I always wanted to see what the real Rose looked like when she wasn’t wearing her disguise. I mean why was still wearing it in MGS4 even after she said she wanted Raiden to see the real her. [Oh well I guess we will figure it out sooner or later but I wonder if we’ll handle the truth!😱

The images we see in Raiden’s codec are as Raiden remembers them. It’s not him seeing them in real time. For example before Raiden sees the cyborg ninja the image is just static but after he encounters her the next codec shows the cyborg ninja.

If this is the case then how does Raiden see Campbell in the codec if as Raiden himself confesses. He has never seen the Colonel’s face before?

Rose constantly asking Raiden about what day it is tomorrow seemed inappropriate given that he was on a life or death mission and his personal life shouldn’t be apart of it. She should know distracting him would be unwise and dangerous to him.

When you think about it, you also have to ask, why would she want Raiden to remember the day she started deceiving him? It would have been a special day if she fell in love with him then, but she didn’t! She was supposedly acting! Playing a role. She actually fell in love with him some time later.

So why would she want Raiden to remember the anniversary of her deception?

Could it be a part of the exercise? She did know that Raiden’s memory was manipulated, yet she was always complaining about knowing nothing about her own boyfriend. Instead of it coming across as a woman treasuring the day she met her boyfriend it comes across as memory testing someone whose memory was manipulated. She wants to see if he remembers but not because she treasures the anniversary.

Emma did say that GW was a system that would allow the Patriots to decide what was recorded in tomorrow’s history. Ai Emma also did say that GW wasn’t complete, but was now completed thanks to Raiden. April 30, 2007 will go done in history as the day Raiden met Rose but I believe that is only a part of the story or that was a lie. That may just be a selected memory for Raiden to keep his sanity. I’m not sure if he would handle the truth of him being a pawn of the S3 plan.

If you watch the [MG2: Solid Snake intro](https://youtu.be/2sGxUkubKjg?is=LLPeN58Kd7Qkz4Jz), you will see that almost every component of Metal Gear D is labeled as VR. They are considered VR components because they are sensors that replace the human senses. Like the infrared laser sight replacing the pilot’s sight. I believe this is the same with Metal Gear D’s motor skills.

Similarly when Rex’s radome gets destroyed, Liquid has to open the cockpit to see Snake. Is it the same with Gray Fox as the Cyborg Ninja? He seems to have infrared vision when the mask is on. I’m not sure about his other senses. For example I’m not sure about his sense of touch given the “clashing of bone and sinew” comment.

So is masked Gray Fox the Cyborg Ninja basically in VR with a wide array of sensors replacing his human senses?

Its seems like a casual conversation people would have when they haven’t seen each other in a while, but why would she says 10 years when she knows it’s 9 and previously said as much in the video she sent Otacon?🤔
