Trichotillomania & Contamination OCD

Hello everyone (25M here.) I’ve been dealing with trichotillomania for about 4 years now, and I’ve had OCD since I was around 11. I feel like every time I make progress with one part of my OCD (I swear I have every subtype at this point, besides hoarding), it just shifts into another type of OCD or OCD-related behavior. 😭

Does anyone else go through the constant cycle of pulling, and then having their contamination OCD get triggered afterward? My contamination OCD has actually improved a ton with Pristiq, but I’m not going to lie, having hair everywhere really triggers it. Like, hair is all over my blanket and bedding right now, and I’m trying to go to sleep, but it’s keeping me up.

Also - I mainly pull nose and butt hairs (I make sure I’m washed and as clean as possible, still gross, I know) so it adds an extra layer to the contamination OCD 😭 I feel disgusting, and it affects my self esteem a lot. I need to somehow just give up this awful habit.
