I’m converting my Soma Wolverine from flat to drop bars and in doing so need to swap out the existing hydraulic disc brake calipers with mechanical. I bought a set of used Avid BB7 road calipers but they don’t fit without 6mm spacers. If I use the spacers I’ll have to file down the edges so they don’t interfere with the rotors. The rotors are 160mm.

Do I need to replace the mounting bracket? If so how do I figure out what dimensions I need? Thanks in advance.

If anything the gap is smaller on the right side of the seat stay but larger on the right side of the chain stay.

EDIT: shout out to u/brewyork who correctly diagnosed the cause as being misaligned sliding dropouts.
