Someone from our family , a sister is getting married in a Mohyal Brahmin family, gotra - Vashisht . Apparently they are warrior Brahmins from Punjab ( Dutt , Chibber , Bali, Lau, Sharma ) . Also known as Husseini Brahmins ( Fought alongside Shias in Battle of Karbala )

Mostly in military , They eat non veg but also pray / are religious but don’t perform priestly duties . So kinda confused on what’s the word on it .
