Hi everyone,

I have a 2018 Mercedes E400 (15k km) covered by an A-Protect "all-inclusive" third-party warranty. Recently, I’ve noticed a strange engine noise upon startup when the idle drops.

A-Protect is insisting I use one of their authorized repair shops, but I’d much prefer taking it to a Mercedes-Benz Dealer for peace of mind.

1. Has anyone successfully used A-Protect at a dealership?
2. Are they allowed to deny my claim if I refuse their "preferred" shops?
3. Any tips on how to handle the claim process to ensure it's covered?
