am I over reacting for being super uncomfortable by this message. I know the family- so although I’m not the person this chick thinks she’s reaching out to I do know them. I received the first message and reached out to the aforementioned father after asking who it was just to make sure he was alright.
He basically said he met this woman on a dating site, she asked him to “pay to play” iykwim and he told her he was not interested in that sort of relationship and pulled back. She then proceeds to name drop his ex wife and children (he’d never given their names to her) so we have to assume she paid for one of those online background check type things. Now she’s reaching out to me thinking I’m his daughter (I got a few more messages that aren’t posted mostly just rambling about how he’d should get back with his ex and leave her alone blah blah blah I’m supposed to message my mom” and tell her about this - why idk because they’re great friends that were never meant to be in a romantic relationship
Dude idk what to do but I feel like I should reach out to someone and report this lady because who in the actual fuck brings a man’s children into shit like this???
I feel extremely uncomfortable not knowing how she got my number but very thankful it wasn’t actually his daughter.
