Path of the Deathless
I want to start by saying that I’m enjoying the world building and story so far, but I need to understand something. I’m a few chapters into the second book and honestly need one question answered.
Does Shiv ever become even slightly likeable? Like he spent the whole of the last book ignoring everyone’s concern over how he behaves and how it affects those around him. He’s now under the influence of the Orc curse and even though he’s responsible for the deaths of hundreds of innocents, and he’s now aware it’s effecting him, he is constantly lashing out like a toddler at the people he just saved. Not to mention the constant mental torture and fear he’s putting into everyone.
So, does he ever actually start acting like an adult or does he keep having a dummy spit every time someone questions his actions and behaviour?
