My (24F) boyfriend (23M) lost his sister a few years back. Before we had gotten into a relationship, he would talk about his siblings and their dynamics. He would talk about his sister the most. It never bothered me, as I’m sure he misses his sister a lot. He would talk about her very fondly, which I thought was very sweet. Sometimes though, when he talks about his sister, he gets a little carried away. What would be a conversation about video games would turn into a longgggg conversation about his sister. I was never bothered by it until he would bring up her appearance. He would always talk about how pretty she was and how it made her so popular. Sometimes he’d get really angry thinking about people who have shown interest in her, he’d also get irritated talking about her boyfriend. A while ago, he had confessed to me that he used to find her attractive, in his words, “hot”. He said he started thinking about how pretty she was and had to stop himself from being weird. I felt my heart sink when he told me this. Does he still have feelings for his sister? Is he comparing me to his sister? I really don’t know. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I don’t know what to do.
