My bf (M 20) lacks emotional connection with me (F 20)
I (20 F) and my bf (20 M) have been in a relationship for 10 months. Overall we have good communication, and we are able to work out any problems we have come across. A major problem that I have been sitting on for months is that he never really listens to me when I start “venting” either about the stress of school or family issues. He will share a word or two of advice but then completely move onto a different conversation, something mainly involving him. I am HUGE on having emotional intimacy and connection, it is my #1 priority and i do not feel like he is providing any form of that. Any time he vents or needs a shoulder to lean on, I am there but I feel like he does not do the same for me. I feel unheard and unseen many times.
Am i depending on him too much emotionally?
