Hi all,

I’m a big fan of the Heartstopper netflix series and have read Nick & Charlie, This Winter, and Solitaire.

I’m now reading the graphic novels for the first time on webtoon. I’m on Vol.4 at the moment from what I can tell.

A friend says the best way to read all the novels together (I am excluding This Winter as don’t want to reread that) is to read the graphic novels Vol.1-5, then Nick & Charlie, then Vol.6.

But because I’m reading on Webtoon and not the physical books, I don’t know where Vol.5 ends.

So if anyone can tell me that that would be awesome.

Hi all,

I became interested in Tolkien’s life and work after seeing the 2019 biopic. I know that some people think that’s a bad introduction but since then I have read 6 books about Tolkien/the Inklings. It’s been really interesting and creatively inspiring as a writer myself. I also visited his grave the other day.

However, I have never read any of Tolkien’s work (or seen any of the film adaptations) as fantasy is one of my least-read genres. The closest I’ve got since becoming interested is one of the biographies has some of his poetry in it (plan to read it all as really enjoyed it) and I’ve read the opening of The Hobbit.

I do want to try reading Tolkien’s work, and I found a list on Tolkien Gateway that gives the orders you can read it all in, but I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all. Initial plan was to start with The Hobbit as an easier introduction but now I’m wondering if I should read the background mythology first?

Just wanted to get people’s thoughts and talk to other Tolkienerds. (Do I still count as one if I’ve not read his work yet?)

Hi all, not sure whether to post in here or the Outlander book sub but starting with here.

I’ve read all the books except 5 and 6. I’m currently reading 9.

The scene in S8 Ep8 where William and Jamie go hunting, does that happen in book 9? I’d be particularly interested to read that scene if it does exist in the book.
