3rd 5k sub 26:20 min!🥹

This is my 3rd 5k at an official event. I posted a 5k training post last week where I was at 31min. This time I took it slow and gradually pickedup the pace.

But my heartrate (avg183) was quite high because I'm not running often. This will motivate me to run more!

I have one more corporate 5k in September. Goal is to touch 25 with balanced heartrate.

2nd 5k.

I haven't been a regular runner. I ran a 5k without any prior running experience 6 months back for an event and did it in 37min. Haven't been running since then.

Today the weather was nice so I gave it a try again and guess what, I did not take a break like last time and managed to finish it in 31min. Pat pat!

Is this heart rate acceptable for this pace? What can I do to make it lower? I'm planning to do it consistently from now on that should help. But any breathing techniques to focus on? I'm inhaling for 4 steps and exhaling the next 4.
