How to extract Ace on Windows
TL/DR: how to force uninstall all ace.ai malware from your computer. Used appwiz.cpl, task manager, and files.
So I recently was being stupid and thought Ace.Ai would be cool… until it refused to uninstall.
I noticed many were having an issue of uninstalling it, here’s how I gave it the boot:
Press Windows + R, a small box will pop up. In the box, write appwiz.cpl
This brings up an uninstaller program. Ace is there, but it’s running in the background of your computer so you can’t just uninstall it right away. The computer will block you. Bring up task manager by either looking it up in your settings or Ctrl + Shift + Esc
Now you’re going to see like six different ace things running in your task manager - an amalgamation of installers, updaters, and generators. This is where a little skill has to happen: you gotta right click and end task for ALL of them then rush and place the request to uninstall ace.ai in the force uninstaller window.
Whew! It’s uninstalled - but THATS NOT THE END. Two or more ace installers might try to pop back up in task manager, end those tasks ASAP! Go into your files and search up files with ace as a keyword. You will see an ace.installer file there that’s edited on today’s date. Right click and uninstall that guy.
