Dynamic Speed limit to max allowed while Cruise/Autopilot - FEATURE REQUEST - 🚗💨
Hey everyone, and a huge shoutout to the amazing team at Enhance! 🌟
I recently got my hands on the S3XY Buttons for my new 2026 Model Y "Juniper standard", and let me tell you: you guys are absolute wizards. The build quality and the smart functions are just incredible. Thank you for making our Teslas even better!
I’m writing because I have a small dream (and a feature request) that I think many of us would love.
Here is my scenario:
I’m driving with Cruise Control (or Autopilot) active. Which I activated with the Autopilot Max setting of the s3xy button. Let's say the speed limit was 50, and I was diving 60: the button set the speed of the cruise to 50 and all is good. Then, the car reads a new speed limit sign: 30 km/h.
What I would love to do:
I want to press a single S3XY Button and have the Cruise Control instantly adjust its set speed to the current road limit (30km/h), without interrupting, disengaging, or resetting the Cruise Control/Autopilot.
Just a smooth, automatic update of the target speed. And vai again when the limit goes up!
Why current workarounds don't fully work:
Right now, if I use the “Autopilot Max” option available as action,m while already in cruise control, the button disengages the cruise control it, which defeats the seamless feel. What makes my request even more appealing is, that as far as I know, there is no native option in the new model standard to achieve this behavior, while it looks like that it was possible in the past on previous models.
What do you guys think? Is it technically possible to add a dedicated "Update speed to current limit" action in a future Commander update?
Sending you guys lots of love from Italy, keep up the legendary work! 🇮🇹❤️
