Engagement photo shoot locations, more unique golf course or library/bookstore

Hi! My fiancé and I are trying to find somewhere to take our engagement photos, which will end up being our save the date/ wedding invite photos as well. He mentioned doing them on a golf course, since he is a big golfer but I’m not sure how that works. Anyone ever done pics at a course around here, did you pay a fee, book a tee time etc? Also any recs on good courses that are similar to inspo pics??

I am an avid reader so I pitched the idea of a library or bookstore for some photos. I have been to a lot of the libraries in the area but off the top of my head I’m not sure which is the most “aesthetic”. Bookstore could work too, but I’m unsure once again do they allow photo shoots, have a fee. Just wanted to get recommendations for both of these and any insight from those who have possibly done this before!

Thanks!

($15k-$20k) Is it actually possible to stay under 20k?

This Reddit page makes me hopeful but then I go over the tik tok and everyone is saying they spent 30k+. A lot of people said their budget was 20k and then ended up spending 45k or more and I cannot do that. The venue we found would be $5,750 for a Friday wedding and I am in LOVE with the venue but it doesn’t include much except chairs and tables and the space obviously. I could do the same venue but a different weekend and the price would drop to $4,500 but I’m very hesitate as I REALLY want Halloween weekend. I plan on wearing my moms wedding dress that fits me perfectly would only need minor alterations to the 80s puff sleeves (iykyk) so I’m thinking around $500 for dress, SHEIN/target heels, Etsy veil so all in for attire for me less than 1k there. We plan to have around 75 guests but our friend will probably officiate. I’m just worried catering, dj, photographer, and decor costs are going to shock me. I am pretty positive we’ll use a lower cost caterer in the area that most people say is around $20 a person, we can provide our own alcohol so that’ll be from Sam’s Club, estimating around 1k. We do have to hire a bartender so not sure on that cost. The venue also requires a day of coordinator.

Basically I feel really confident in keeping costs low on some stuff but the other stuff like dj packages, photographers, coordinators, and little things like table clothes and decor and invitations are scaring me. Do you think under 20k is achievable? Also how did you find good djs and photographers for low cost?? Sorry this might just be me ranting and anxious and needing encouragement and advice from those who came before me 🙏🏼

Recs for hair salon for women haircut, longer thick hair

I have pretty long, to the top of my butt, hair that’s decently thick. I don’t color it or do anything else really just mainly need somewhere to get haircuts. As I’ve gotten older it feels like most salons don’t want someone just getting a haircut they really want the coloring side too and I’ve had stylists be not the nicest to me when they realize that’s the only service I want. I used to frequent the hair cuttery or cost cutters but after a horrific haircut one time I willl never make that mistake again 😂

Anyways, just looking for someone in the Pinellas/st. Pete/ Clearwater area for haircuts a couple times a year, good vibes and nothing excessively expensive but willing to pay 50-70ish for the service if it’s good! Any recs?
