Hey everyone,
I recently bought a 2018 Mazda3 from a dealer, and everything looked great at the time of purchase. But today after giving it a proper wash, I noticed a ton of tiny spots all over the hood that I didn’t see before.
They look like small “tick” or dot-like marks — not sure if it’s paint damage, contamination, or something else. Now I’m wondering if the dealer might’ve used some kind of coating or polish that temporarily hid them.
Has anyone experienced this before? What could cause these spots to suddenly become visible after a wash?
Also, is there any way to remove or fix them (DIY or professional)? Not sure if I’m dealing with something like paint etching, tree sap residue, or clear coat issues.
Any advice would be appreciated!
