Has Mazda already peaked with the current Gen design?

I’m obviously biased here, but I think the Gen 4 might be Mazda’s most complete package in terms of interior, exterior and overall quality.

With newer cars moving towards giant screens and increasingly complicated styling, I wonder whether Mazda will surpass the Gen 4, or if we’ll look back on it as a high point for the brand.

What do you think Mazda would need to improve to genuinely top it?

I bought a new manual 3 a few weeks ago to replace my 2016 manual 3. Am I crazy in feeling like the 2016 had a more solidly-built suspension?

Ontario E15 gas — what are Mazda3 owners doing

I have a 2017 Mazda3 2.5L Skyactiv-G. The manual says max E10, but I’m now seeing E15 (up to 15% ethanol) at Ontario pumps, even on some 91 fuel.
I used to think 91 = safer E10, but that doesn’t seem reliable anymore. I’ve also seen claims that Mazda Canada now considers E15 OK for 2013+ models, which conflicts with the manual.
At Shell, 93 V-Power still seems to be E10, but it’s a big price jump for a car that only needs 87.
So I’m wondering:
Are you just running regular 87/E15?
Any noticeable issues or KPL changes?
Is anyone still paying for 91/93 just to avoid ethanol?
Any confirmed E10 stations left in Ontario?
Trying to figure out if premium fuel is worth it or if 87/E15 is fine now.
Thank you !

Looking for suspension/comfort recommendations for a 2016 Mazda 3 BM sedan

Hey everyone!

I have a 2016 Mazda 3 BM sedan(my first car) and I'm looking to improve the ride comfort, especially on cobblestone roads, potholes and generally poor roads.

My current setup:

  • 2016 Mazda 3 BM sedan
  • 17" wheels
  • I don't know the exact mileage/age of the current suspension components
  • Suspension is currently stock as far as I know
  • No major suspension issues that I'm aware of

The car feels quite harsh over cobblestones and potholes. I can feel a lot of the road through the cabin, and sharper bumps can feel pretty unpleasant.

I'm considering replacing the shocks/struts, but I'm not sure whether that would actually make a significant difference or whether I should be looking at other suspension components first.

What would you recommend replacing/upgrading for the biggest improvement in comfort?

If you've owned a Mazda 3 BM/BN and have actually improved the ride comfort, I'd really appreciate hearing what parts you changed and how much difference it made.

Thanks!

Suggestions on performance motor mounts?

I have a 2008.5 Manual 5 speed, 2.3L. I have an Ebay Polyurethane rear (second one) and have replaced both fronts.

Not really happy with the bucking and shift feel.

I have a Megan Racing short shift lever and bushings as well.

I'm considering solids, despite the downfalls. Due to how I drive the car. But $600 doesn't sound very appealing. Suggestions?

First Mazda!! CS or BM Intake?!

First time owning a Mazda so I tried to find as much stuff as I could about it and was finally able to get one last week!

I've been trying to find out if the Corksport Intake with cold air box would be better or equal to the Burger Motorsports CAI.

I'm going on a road trip in oct and may be dealing with rain so I'm a bit hesitant on the BMS CAI but I do want a JB4 so I'm a bit conflicted

Also curious if the CS airbox would work with the stage 1 BMS intake lol

Mazda3 Carbon vs Subaru Impreza RS

I'm debating because these are both very similarly priced, for 2024-2025 models with 10-20k miles. Both AWD

The Impreza handles bad weather better, but the mazda3 is also insane value for the price (both are about 27k before tax) and both beat out a honda civic like what my brother got for 33k. What case can you make for the mazda3 being the better buy

Help with car part identification

I found this on the floor of my garage, where my Mazda 3 2010 was parked. Could someone help me identify what it is?

I had the AC compressor clutch replaced yesterday, so it may be somehow related? Any help is appreciated.

Front trim / bumper alignment

Hi. Could this misalignment be an assembly error from the factory? In any case, would it be easy to fix?
The right one is perfect.
