I can get this frame for $420 brand new but it’s in Grande size. The biggest difference from the Regular is the 510 reach.

Im 5’11 with longish arms but I hate being forward while pedalling flat. So I was thinking of reducing the reach by getting an ultra short stem also angled up. Then pair that with high rise bars like 30-50 mm. I also plan on running a low offset 140mm fork because the bike is so long.

Is this too risky or is it gonna turn out ok?

Found the full bike for 700 USD used, not sure of specs though. Apparently this frame does not have the steel is real magic, is that true.

I am also eyeing a norco torrent frame but the price on this honzo is kinda good?

Messed up not debarking this maple green, now I might have to chase a ring because I might have nicked it trying to brute force the bark off with a drawknife.

I can get a Norco Torrent S frame for $600 CAD at the moment, but if I am going this I thought I'd ask if there are better alternatives. Mostly 64-65 Head tube angle which goes well with 140mm or 1500mm fork. My budget is abysmal and I intend on cheaping out on everything else except the brakes so any good frames cheaper than this would be appreciated.
