For people stuck in low–mid rank, how much of your deaths are actually crosshair placement?

I started paying attention to mine and realized it’s almost always too low or not pre-aimed

Been trying a simple rule:
never let my crosshair drop below head level
and always place it where I expect someone before peeking

After a few days, fights feel way easier and I’m not panic flicking as much

Still inconsistent though

For people who got past this stage, what helped you make it automatic?
