Something is wrong with my Everest?
Please help! I just wanted to get my first licensed machine print, my own mech. I know a guy, a tech witch who calls himself Enki, who hooked me up with a custom Everest schematic.
Took weeks to get the salvage he wanted, and I had to find an old data vault for him, but he came through. He ran me through a bunch of sims with a plethora of different gear, and I got the loadout that Ishtar, his pet AI, said I was best with. My Everest was even gonna come with her pre-installed onboard as an expert assistant.
But, that was then.
Once the print started Ishtar flashed herself to my control rig and hasn't uninstalled from it since. She's always there, a sweet voice in my ear. And the printer went *odd*. I know my mech ain't GMS standard at ALL, and as soon as it was done we had to load up on the transport and get the hell out of the city. Enki kept telling me everything is fine, that it's all working as intended, but then CorpSec started trying to tail our truck.
I would've probably been worried if Ishtar hadn't been there, murmuring gently into my mind.
Next thing I knew Enki was speaking in some kind of scripture and tongues, and the autopilot took over. Then he hopped up and ran to the back to the hold, boarded some sort of spikey exosuit and hopped off, saying we'd all meet back up outside his shop. Dunno what he did, but CorpSec veered off to chase him.
That was 2 weeks, 5 close calls and 3 pitched battles back.
Ishtar said she can't go back, that destiny itself brought us together, and this is all part of someone's plan. Who the fuck even is Ra?
My Everest's armaments are apparently unlicensed, Ishtar is on the run (from who or what, she won't say), and somehow I gotta hop a transport off-station. She said we have a flight booked with one of Enki's "friends", a robotic cargo hauler kitted out for smuggling people and goods out of system.
What's going on? What's wrong with my Mech? Why do they want Ishtar so badly?
[Backstory for my custom brew Bird/Binary build I'm gonna use as a mini. Dunno what the guns are supposed to be even. I just wanted to make a spicy lil model and see how it'd look. What weapons loadout do you think it has?]
