Suppose to be studying but was working on some Lancer content relating to IPS-N and thrown a spongebob reference and brain went from there. ANYWAY, IPS-N frames portrayed by spongebob. Credit to the OG artworks for the IPS-N frames.

Military Tribunal

Howdy folks, I'm running a HEAVILY homebrew Lancer/starfinder campaign where HA was destroyed about 400 years ago after what is commonly referred to in universe as the 3rd Deimos event. Union since labelled anyone associated with HA war criminals and all old HA licenses and IP has been pretty up much absorbed by GMS. One of my players is playing as a HA soldier who woke up from cryo about 5 years ago and had been hiding his affiliation until it was recently brought into the light where he was arrested by unions equivalent of the Halo universes Office of Naval Intelligence. He now is about to stand before a military tribunal with one of his crew acting as a character witness.

My question to you as a player base is: what type of questions should I pose to this character?

HA gets up to some heinous things in base lancer so the panel of individuals is already biased against him. I want this to feel like a proper military tribunal since if it goes poorly his character will legit be executed before next session and he will be rolling a new character. Any in universe style questions I should ask to really push for authenticy?

How I imagine the Mechs would greet us

ISPN: It's all shiping with them, so Captain felt on brand.

SSC: Their heavily inspired by Japanese and Chinese culture, so Master felt thematic.

Harrison Armory: They're soldiers, so short and curt meetings are expected.

Horus: Their very alien in their design, so keeping them detached from humans is on brand.

GMS: Extremely common and customizable, so just pick what ever greeting you want.

Edit: I'm realizing that I should've put the manufacturer's logo when representing them, instead of the 1/2 size mechs.

So f*ck it we ball, I will be doing every mech. Later though, I have [NONDESCRIPT PRACTICES] to get back to.

I want to paint YOUR mech if you want to donate!

Pilots! I posted here a few days ago, but I am raising money for cystic fibrosis research and I want YOU to be a part of it!

I am already well on my way through my first paintjob request, as you can see, and if you like what you see and want to support a good cause, please shoot me a DM and I will send you a link to donate. Currently I'm asking for $25 donations in exchange for a full mech.

Same disclaimers as my first post - I am just a guy with MS paint and a dream, not a professional artist. All credit goes to the Lancer art team!

How important is build synergy in Lancer?

So, let's say I'm putting together a mech and I want to simply put weapons and systems together that I think sound or look cool rather than picking things that work well together. Would I struggle in a standard fight or would I only be screwed on boss encounters? Or would I be completely fine throughout the game?

Any and all guidance is appreciated :)

My Fitzgerald for the final battle in our campaign

My little gremlim piloted an Everest until it got destroyed in the last session; now she's piloting a custom-made Fitzgerald that is smaller than an average 1/2 chassis because she's 5'2".

I hate TLALOC-NHP

Specifically because it makes you immobilised, which means you fall out of the sky when monarch is clearly designed to be a flying missile boat

Core LL0 Builds

I'm going to be starting my first campaign soon. the GM has limited us to the core rules for LL0, and being new to the game I'm not super familiar with the basic synergies.

I'd like to play a ranged character that has a mix of control, artillery, and support (hacking is a plus), ideally one that has a lot of options and action economy. Can anyone with more experience than me make some recommendations?

Manufacturer Lamps

I've been making these little LED lamps recently. I wanted to play around with typography that would go with each of the manufacturer's symbols, and try some funky shapes.

this one was really fun to make! art by me

-commissions currently closed-

Mech: HEADSHOT
Frame/License: Deaths Head Variant
Pilot: L. Haggard

I just realize that I might get ppl confused bc of the name in my logo vs he name of my reddit, well this account is very old and my current artistic name is Rojo92! I also made the logo a looong time ago, so long that it actually has a "tree" kanji on it bc Arbol mean tree, arbolito is something like "little tree" it was a really old nickname I got from an old friend group.

You can see my portfolio here: https://www.artstation.com/rojo92

Avatar NPC Template is playtest-ready!

Avatar NPCs are menacing antagonists who add point control gameplay to a fight. The template is roughly equal to options like Commander and Veteran, and can be combined with options like Elite or Ultra.

Feel free to try them out yourself! Thoughts and feedback are welcome. The full rules document can also be found here.

How much pre-fall culture persisted in to the Union-era?

WIf I recall correctly, 99.996%of Earth's population foken died out during the Fall, and it took roughly 1600 or so years just to reach the age of sail again.

Humanity as a species survived, but the civilization basically gone extinct.

And yet in the current day of the setting, 10 000 years later, we have stuff like Smith-Shimano corp, so in some form, english and japanese are still in use, and afaik, the god damn catholic church is still a thing somehow.

I know the vaults contained cultural information. But I doubt millenia old civilizations would readopt cultures and languages foreign to them, just because they shared a geological location. Hell, even IRL, people dont give a shit about history beyond idle fun.

Like, I am hungarian, but i would not suddenly fully transition to Avar culture if our backyard had a tomb in it from them.

So how did that work?

Should I run a prewritten module or run a custom story for my first time running lancer?

I've had some experience running DnD for my players before but none of use have played or run lancer before. Would it be worth the risk of trying things out on my own or should i just commit to a smaller prewritten one to figure it out first? I'm specifically curious because it might help me learn to run better combat and avoid mistakes that may make it unfun for a first run-through.

Barotrauma: God Death as a Powered by Lancer setting

Hi everyone, I'm designing my own original setting, Barotrauma: God Death, along with my own miniatures to go with it, which I've released on my kofi and myminifactory respectively. However, what I don't have just yet is rules. As a setting revolving around mecha, as well as more supernatural elements through the Belief that has spread through Hayatia, one of the natural fits seemed like Lancer. I'll be looking to get my own hands on experience with the system, but with the open source model of Powered by Lancer, I felt like it'd be good to talk about it here too.

Naturally, my setting has its own unique elements that would distinguish it from the setting of Lancer, set in the wartorn Hayatia. The death of a God has warped the minds and bodies of those throughout, for better and worse.

Has anyone in here used Lancer as the basis for playing within another setting? If so, how did it go? How much modification did it need? Of course, I'm also happy to answer any questions about the setting and the models if anyone has any. Thanks for your time.
