I bought the 2025 GRX Sutra Ltd, size 54. Unfortunately after some riding the inner sides of my knees started to hurt. It doesn't hurt when I ride the old bike. My working thesis is that it's caused by the Shimano FC-MT510 crankset and its Q-Factor of 177 mm. The old bike with GRX has a Q-Factor of 151 mm, so the difference is considerable at 26 mm. I moved the cleats on my shoes but the adjustment is very limited. The frame clearance is about 1 cm each side between the chainstays and the crank arm. So I'm looking for a new crankset that would work with the current setup but have a smaller Q-Factor, let's say between 160 and 170 mm.

After some research it seems like Shimano MTB cranksets like this aren't easy to find. Some Sram ones might fit, but I'd have to change the bottom bracket and the chainring to work with the current GRX chain. SRAM NX is what they put in the older olive Sutra Ltd, but it looks like it also has a high Q-Factor of 168 mm.

Did anyone else encounter the same problem? What solution did you find? To be fair I find it a bit weird that I encountered this problem since people ride even wider cranksets without any problems. I used to ride MTB bikes alright but that was before boost era and with normal shoes, not cleats.
