SoloTraveling to Napoli in July, Personal Safety AND recommandations needed

Ciao & Hello People of Napoli and fellow Travellers,

I am an european Women who decided to celebrate her 30. Birthday in this beautiful City. And it‘s my first Time going on a Journey all ALONE. I’m excited but also scared.

So, Two years ago i went to liguria & Cinque terre already and since then i was hooked with bella italia.

I‘m well aware about this „rich & clean north vs. Poor & dirty south“-thing, i know it will be diffrent than Genova & Firence, where i also went.

Going in July means it‘s high-season, it‘s gonna be hot af but how worse will it get? Will i get crushed between people or can i expect some kind of september-firenze crowded Situation? It was the fullest City during my First Trip to italy.

Another thing is, that the group of people (Family,Friends, workmates) is 50/50 between „go girl!“ vs. „You gonna get robbed/stabbed/kidnapped“. I did travel to a few european big citys (Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Rotterdam, Paris), im some kind of fluent in italien language (b2-b3), but half of the people think i am Not gonna Return? And with that being Said, i am well aware of my sourroundings, i know how to Navigate im bigger cities, Overall i would say i even dont look like the stereotype of tourist at all. So how Bad is it gonna be as a solo female exploring the City?

I‘m staying direct at the central train station but the hotel had good Reviews, a friend of mine stayed there too during her travel. I just think that it cant be much worser then Milano Centrale. Horror Stay during our trip Home Last time by flixbus. But thats another story.

One last Question: one good option for a Beach or kinda ocean-like day that doesnt include a boat tour to capri/ischia/amalfi. Or other good activities for my 30. Birthday? Good restaurants, also i‘m Interested in Vinyl/LP‘s, Goth/Alt-Fashion, Art thats unique with the interaction of light/Dark, shadow/light, maybe somewhat obscure? Dont know how to describe my taste in Arts. Of course i‘m gonna see pompeii, Herculaneum, some museums like the archiological one, so that Part is fully covered already.

Really looking forward celebrating the next decade of adhd madness aka my life in your beautiful City! ❤️

Mille Grazie & Thanks!
