My sister (f48) is married to a drug addict (m45). They have a few kids together. He overdosed again a couple weeks ago. Apparently it was a suicide attempt. She is letting him stay in the house in active addiction around my nieces and nephew.. their daughter and her friend found him on the floor after school.. he's not in rehab. He's not trying to stop. He's suicidal and finally saw a therapist recently. But that's it. My sister is so checked out and depressed that I dont think she could even process it.
So, I called CPS. Now my family thinks I'm in the asshole for making the kids go to a group home for a few days until they got my BIL out of there.
These kids are fucked up after dealing with this their whole lives. But it's way worse now that my sister isn't even forcing my BIL to do rehab or drug testing or impatient care or leaving his dumb ass.
So AMITAH?
